George Klountzos continues the journey of "Semazen" with a compelling remix of "Speaking Voice" courtesy of Atlanta’s ever-inventive Stefan Ringer. Known for his genre-defying productions and deeply rhythmic approach to dance music, Ringer reinterprets the track through a lens of soulful futurism, transforming it into a fluid, groove-driven journey that pulses with character and intention.

At its core, “Speaking Voice” reflects Klountzos’ fascination with rhythm as a form of expression. Rooted in the organic energy that defines "Semazen", the original balances intricate grooves, atmospheric textures, and subtle melodic movements, building a sound that is driven by groove, texture, and a strong sense of movement. Thessaloniki-based drummer, producer, and composer George Klountzos unveils a captivating reinterpretation from his debut album Semazen, as Atlanta’s genre-blurring artist Byron The Aquarius steps in to remix “Whirling.” Transforming the original into a hypnotic, rhythm-forward dancefloor experience, Byron injects a deep, percussive energy, elevating the track into a swirling, immersive late-night journey.

“Whirling” sits at the heart of Semazen, a project driven by motion, ritual, and expressive rhythm. As a drummer, Klountzos brings a unique sensibility to electronic music, blending intricate grooves, live instrumentation, and textural depth. The album marks a strong first statement, where organic pulse meets electronic exploration, drawing listeners into a meditative yet dynamic sonic world.

On remix duties, Byron The Aquarius channels his signature musicality and deep-rooted sense of harmony. The acclaimed Thessaloniki-based jazz ensemble Yako Trio return with their highly anticipated third studio album. The album marks a new chapter in the band’s evolution, featuring two exceptional guest artists: Harris Lambrakis on ney and James Wylie on saxophone. Its cover art is designed by the internationally celebrated and award-winning design studio Beetroot, giving the project a distinctive visual identity that mirrors its sonic depth.

This new quintet formation is a vision that Yako Trio have long aspired to bring to life. The collaboration with Lambrakis and Wylie adds new layers of texture and expression to the band’s music. The mystical, meditative tone of the ney intertwines with the emotive voice of the saxophone, expanding the trio’s sound into new territories. In his brand new album entitled "Semazen" he tries to cross boundaries between jazz, hip hop and house music, with a broad experimental approach

"Semazen" borrowed from Persian Sama-zan, Sama, meaning listening, from Arabic, and zan, meaning doer, from Persian, is a form of physically active meditation which originated among certain Sufi groups. This is sought through abandoning one's nafs, ego or personal desires, by listening to the music, focusing on God, and spinning one's body in repetitive circles, which has been seen as a symbolic imitation of planets in the Solar System orbiting the Sun.
