George Klountzos is a drummer, composer, and bandleader whose clear rhythmic voice and grounded musical approach place him firmly among today’s rising jazz artists. His playing blends precision with an open, searching feel, giving his music both structure and room to breathe.
His albums “Semazen” and “Raw & Unfiltered: The Archive Tapes” highlight these qualities from different angles. Semazen features a focused, contemporary sound shaped by his compositional ideas, while Raw & Unfiltered offers a more direct look at his unpolished sessions and creative process.
